Eclipse Season 2022 - Scorpio + Taurus Energy is Here to Transform The Way You Find Comfort

Contrary to what lots of Instagram astrologers want you to believe right now, we have eclipses every single year. This idea that THIS eclipse season is THE eclipse season is a little far-fetched and tbh I think it’s an easy way to pull humans off their rockers and into a spiral of “what am I supposed to dooooo???”

The truth is, every single year we have a minimum of four eclipses. Sometimes there are more. In 1982, we had seven! (and we will have seven again in 2038). In 2020 we had six. Every year is a little bit different, but at a bare minimum, because of the way the universe rotates, we always have four eclipses in a calendar year.

If eclipses are happening so regularly, why don’t we always hear about them? BECAUSE WE CAN’T ALWAYS SEE THEM! Astrologically speaking, the eclipses (whether we see them or not) do have an energetic affect on us. Every. Single. Time. and when you look back on your life you may notice that big events and a-ha moments tend to fall on the eclipses.

Before I continue into the astrology energy of the 2022 eclipses, I’m going to break down the actual meaning of an eclipse because I’ll be H… I had no idea what was even happening in the universe during an eclipse and I had to google it. So, if you’re like me and don’t remember anything from Earth and Space Science in 8th grade, let me help.

Solar Eclipse = Happens during a NEW MOON when the moon passes between the Sun and the Earth.

Lunar Eclipse = Happens during a FULL MOON when the Earth, Sun, and Moon all align perfectly in space, with the Earth between the Sun and Moon.

The reason why this happens sometimes and not always is because the moon doesn’t orbit the Earth on the exact same incline as the Earth is rotating. It is off by about 5º. This means that it doesn’t always hit a perfect alignment with the Earth and Sun, but when it does it is at one of two points: the descending node or the ascending node. Here’s a picture that shows those alignment points for the moon and Earth’s orbit.

Because of the way the moon and Earth orbit, an eclipse (an alignment of the Earth and Moon) never come alone. One eclipse is always followed by the next about two weeks later… and then the eclipses happen again roughly 6 months out, again with two weeks between them.

And because of this timing, it means one eclipse is always followed up by an eclipse in the opposite sister astrological energy. For example, 2022’s Scorpio and Taurus eclipses. Scorpio and Taurus are sister signs and they sit opposite each other on the zodiac wheel.

In 2022, all four eclipses happened in either Taurus or Scorpio.

Okay, so we still have one more date to come… but can you see a pattern in your life as you think back to these dates?

An eclipse represents discovery.

This is a time of seeing new truth in your life and gaining intense and limitless clarity on who you are and where you're going. The discovery that comes from an eclipse holds the power to completely shift your perspective and many times it can challenge you to really stay true to what you believe.

The Autumn eclipses in Scorpio and Taurus are energetically connected to the eclipses that happened in the Spring of 2022. The energy is visiting a second time to make sure we've learned our lessons and are able to process the events with more clarity.

Use this energy to recommit to your goals and beliefs.

Own your power as a human being with free will and at the same time honor your intuition and cosmic purpose. Trust that whatever is revealed to you is done so for your highest good and is working to break away the limitations that are keeping you from grasping the life you’re meant to live.

So, the question you need to be asking yourself as we approach this final eclipse of 2022 is…

What do you want out of life and are you willing to embrace your transformation to get it?

The new moon eclipse is pushing you to realize your goals and desires. This is the time to set intentions.

The full moon eclipse is about release. It’s a time when you’re able to entrust your destiny to the universe and let your limitations fall away.

Basically, the eclipses act as time warps. They speed up time. They cut out the in-between and cut to the reality of your life. It’s not always easy or fun, but it’s incredibly important to accept these shifts if you’re serious about changing the energy of your life.

We can’t choose how things come to us.

I’d like to share a story that I recently told in one of my Cosmic Happy Hours about the truth of manifestation and intention-setting. This is a reminder that we don’t choose how things come to us.

At the beginning of this year (2022) I wrote down my goals and intentions for the year. I had a whole list of things that I wanted to receive in my life - deeper friendships, more passion and space for creative pursuits, a stronger relationship with my partner, and specifically an extra $10,000 by the end of the year in my savings account.

I’m not going to go into depth into each of these intentions, but if you know me and my life, you know that 2022 has pushed me well on my way towards reaching all of these goals I laid out for myself, often in difficult and unexpected ways. That’s the key to all of this — a lot of times the eclipses shift our reality in ways that can feel difficult and unexpected, but when you break it down, it’s giving you everything you asked for.

So, I’m going to tell you about how I’m ending up with an extra $10k by the end of the year in the most difficult and unexpected way.

In April of 2022, my savings account was at an all-time low. It hit $125. I pulled almost everything out to pay for life after losing work in the earlier part of the year and finally not being able to swing it without digging into my savings. I thought to myself, “Okay so deffff not hitting that extra 10k mark LOL” (LOL because i’m a sagittarius and gotta laugh to keep from crying).

By May (SCORPIO ECLIPSE) I received a call about a new job opportunity. This position would be taking over teaching dance classes for a dear friend who has been struggling with her health and cannot work anymore. I said yes almost immediately and fell in love with the school and students, without even really talking about pay. However when the discussion of pay finally came up, it meant that my one-day-a-week class would bring in $5,325 by the end of the year. A completely unexpected job, brought about through a difficult circumstance… but it’s pushing me toward my 10k goal of extra cash.

Since then, I received an email from a company that works with resorts and AirBnB in Scottsdale asking me to join their team as an astrology party host. I was given gigs very quickly and am set to make $800 by the end of the year.

I joined a grant panel for reviewing applications for arts projects here in Phoenix and my paycheck was $1875.

I had a change of heart (or a stroke of insight) and decided to step down from my position as artistic director of the company I’ve led for the last 12 years. If you would have asked me at the beginning of 2022 if I’d consider leaving this company to reach my goals, I would say ABSOLUTELY NOT. But by the time I made the decision, it came easy and felt right. When I stepped down, I did not expect any money to come from it. Obviously, I’m leaving a job… I should be losing money! However, our board of directors voted to increase my pay for the end of 2022 with a bonus check for the work i’ve put in over the years… bringing my end of 2022 extra cash total to EXACTLY $10,000.

$5,325 + $1,875 + $800 + $2,000 = $10,000

So, if you’ve read all of that, I hope it gives you a little inspiration, maybe a little motivation, and a little reminder to trust the flow of life. Don’t force it. The eclipses will bring you what you need, even if it’s not what you think you need.

And if I had looked at my chart a little closer this year, I would have seen that my 2nd house and 11th house were getting a whole lot of action. 2nd house is money and wealth. 11th house is friendships, social groups, and community.
